Join our kiwi family of 5 on board our 63ft Balance Catamaran, Awatea, to experience the simple pleasures of life on the water. With your own hull you will have privacy while also enjoying the ample shared spaces. Let's cruise the Exumas, explore tidal creeks on the dingy, snorkel with wildlife, beach comb or enjoy a sundowner on board Awatea. Wind down and relax or overload on adventure, the choice is yours. Awatea is a 63 foot South African built Balance catamaran that has been designed to bridge the gap between comfort and performance. There is ample space on board and she sails fast and comfortably. If you are an experienced sailor or have never been on a boat before we know you'll love this yacht. The available port hull hosts three cabins, each with their own head (bathroom). The aft cabin has a king bed, midships cabin has a queen bed and the forward cabin has a double bed. Dividers available for each bed in the case of two singles wanting to share a cabin. The galley (kitchen) and saloon (lounge) are large shared spaces. There is a dining table inside as well as one in the cockpit. Cooking facilities include a gas oven, both gas and induction cooktops and a charcoal braai (BBQ). We also have an espresso coffee machine, toaster, microwave, bread maker, fridges, freezers, an ice maker, blender and all the necessities for a well stocked kitchen. Outdoors hosts many areas for lounging either in the sun or in the shade. We have three paddleboards, a floating dock, a wingfoil set up, snorkel sets and four bikes to keep you busy. There is even a dedicated game fishing chair to help reel in the big fish. The price includes three meals provided per day. Alcohol, soft drinks, snacks and any additional food required by the guests is to be provided by the guests. Shopping facilities available in Georgetown. Pickup location is negotiable within the Exumas, this can be discussed at time of booking. Your hosts: Fraser (35), Olivia (33), Ivy (8), Angus (6) and Nelson (5). We are from New Zealand and have lived on board a sailing boat for the last 2 years. We are all keen water people and love to spend our time in and on the water, usually either surfing or spearfishing. The kids are well adapted to boat life and love to adventure and make the most of this wonderful way of life.
