13 Person SouthBay 150HP Tritoon for Rent on Gun Lake
The boat will be available on or after June 1, 2019 and will only be available on Gun Lake. Guests of the owner get first option to rent the boat on weeks they have rented the cottages. So up to a 24 hour review process for any rental inquiries from outside renters will be needed, but we likely will have an answer in a few hours. Note: Come summer more photos of the actual boat will be put online. The photo shown is simply a website prototype of the boat as it will look when it is built. The colors of the boat in the photo are the exact colors, but the motor and other details are not shown in this photo obviously. This is a 2019 SouthBay 523CR-4G 24 ft in length and has a 150 HP Evinrude Etec G2 HO that puts out 165 HP of power and way more torque than other 150HP motors! If you want to see the color, features and power of this motor just go to YouTube and type in "Evinrude E-TEC G2 Plane Truth Challenge" and as long as they feature the blue 150 HP Evinrude Etec, that is exactly what this motor looks like and does. The only difference is this motor is an HO "High Output" model so it is 10% more powerful than the one in the video, putting out more like 165HP. Includes a top of the line sport Sport Ski Tow Bar for easy connecting of ski and tow ropes. Includes blue LED underlighting around the base of the seating and below the deck of the boat shining on the water, the envy of the lake after sunset for sure! The owner will meet you at the property to help with lifejackets, rules, and to give a tour of the lake, go over lake rules and boat features and operation. There are also skis and, depending on availability, a tube may also be available for use of renters during rental of the boat.

Additional Terms & Information
For all rentals, the owner will give a free tour of the lake and what areas to avoid and also go over the basics of the boat operation and lake rules, which should take no more than 30 minutes to 1 hour unless you prefer it to take longer to get more assistance and training. Note: This owner given training session is free and is part of the rental time, but we learn on the lake, so you will not missing out on anything as it will be a blast for you and your guests, and you are even able to ski and tube during this time as the owner will show you how to do it. The goal of course to have fun and also to make sure the boat and everyone is safe the entire time the boat is on the water. Price for the 4 hour rental and below includes the cost of gas, so those rental prices may seem slightly above the competition even though their boats are much slower, but they don't offer fuel included. The gas has to be carted to the boat as there is not a station directly on the lake, so if renting for just a few hours, you would spend a good percentage of that time waiting in line for a portable fuel tank and filling up at your own cost. If renting the boat for more than one day, refilling will be the responsibility of the renter at own cost but that is reflected in the lower price per day. Rent Rates Breakdown: 2-8 Hours: $125 per hour with 2 hour minimum -- includes owner training session on the water -- captain service at no extra charge for the entire trip if desired (AKA: you actually get to ski and ride a tube also) -- refueling the responsibility of boat owner -- no risk of damages being charged to renter 4 Hours: $300 -- includes owner training session on the water -- refueling the responsibility of renter 8 Hours: $500 -- includes owner training session on the water -- refueling the responsibility of renter 3 Days: $1,000 -- includes owner training session on the water -- refueling the responsibility of renter 5 Days: $1,500 -- includes owner training session on the water -- refueling the responsibility of renter 7 Days: $1,800 -- includes owner training session on the water -- refueling the responsibility of renter The deposit is $1,000 just to ensure no damage is done. Renter assumes all responsibility for any other damage done to the boat or property or people. This is a $50,000 very fast boat. Each seat is worth $800-$2,000, each pressurized pontoon is worth $4,000, the motor is $15,000 and the propeller is $275, so in case you are thinking the deposit is unreasonable, that should help. The charge to have the owner be the captain the entire time you rent the boat, if desired, is $25 per hour after the initial training session in addition to the normal fees charged for the rental. Going this route you avoid risking the deposit at all as clearly the owner is responsible for any operator error so if you are not already quite familiar with boating and all, this is a good route to go. Obviously this option is only viable for a 4 hour period or shorter. Damage to the boat or propeller is the responsibility of the renter unless of course the owner is driving when damage occurs, so learn the lake by studying the maps, pay attention when out on the water, avoid the shallow areas and you should be fine :-) Operators must be at least 18, or may be 17 but that will require a Safe Boating Certificate as well as a signed agreement by a parent or guardian that will take responsibility for any damage done. Absolutely no drinking of alcohol on the boat at any time it is away from the dock. We realize some people think of these as "party barges" and they are a blast for groups, but this is a powerful and heavy vehicle and people can be anywhere at any time on the lake, so definitely not a time for drinking and driving. Driving while intoxicated or you can risk serious damage to people and property, not to mention the boat.
