There are about 2000 islands here, and all of them, as to the selection: with blue lagoons, white-sand beaches, unique vegetation and, of course, with a stunning underwater world, because there is 99% of water and only 1% of the land. The Maldives - this is the most interesting diving with large inhabitants of the sea such as sharks, rays, manti, turtles, dolphins. All this and not only can be seen in one day, and sometimes for one dive. When 8 mantas are circling over your head, these are unforgettable impressions. The best season to visit Ari, Vahavu, Male atolls - from November to April. The temperature of water and air is the same all year round: 27-30 degrees. Route Male - Ari Atoll (north and south) - Vaavu Atoll - Male We start with a dive in Male: Fish Tank - the place where stingrays and guitar sharks are lured. Next we look at sharks and mantas on the north and central Ari. Then - to the south in search of a whale shark. After - on Vaavu atoll swim and dive with sharks nannies. Fish Tank. Male This dive site is located next to a small fish processing plant. For many years, local fishermen butchered it on the shore and discard unnecessary parts of the fish into the water. There have learned to coexist 9 species of moray eels. Many of them are very large from the abundance of food, even the wounded moray feel excellent here, because they do not have to hunt, the food itself falls straight from the sky in unlimited quantities. Only here you can meet from 5 to 8 moray eels in the same cave, with different colors and sizes. Ari Atoll • Maya Tyla Male - Ari Atoll (north and south) - Vaavu Atoll - MaleAlso, 5 species of stingrays, scorpions, lionfish, a lot of schooling fish in huge numbers get along here, a frequent visitor - the elusive fish stone. This dive is especially interesting at sunset. Less often you can meet eagles and guitarists (sharks rays), they go to the light of lanterns. And, if you restrain yourself and not chase after them, you can consider them from all angles. This plateau (about 20 by 30 meters in size and 10-15 meters deep) is a beautiful coral garden during the day and a crazy accumulation of life at night. Insolent turtles live here, if a diver gets in their way, they do not turn off, but pass right along you as if you are just coral. This place is also famous for a large number of indifferent, small white-nosed reef sharks. It seems that they do not notice the tourists at all. Here slopes stingrays also live, they smoothly slide between divers and, like many, tend closer to the light of your lanterns. Therefore you should not save before going to the Maldives: get a powerful flashlight, and you will be happy! • Maamigili This is something like a national park where tourists come from all over the world in search of whale sharks. Usually, this is snorkeling with a giant fish. Here you can find a shark from 4 to 12 meters in length. A truly spectacular sight! And if you're lucky, you will see 2-3 individuals at once. Quite often, the biggest fish of our planet are found right on the dive. • Manta Point This is the manta cleaning station or the place where they are fed (depending on the season). On each of the atolls there are similar stations. These giant butterflies of the ocean reach 5 meters in wingspan. Manty - not at all uncommon in the Maldives, you can find up to 12 individuals in these "spa salons", where they are carefully peeling cleaners. And if this is the marriage dances, then you will see all the grace and plasticity of these magnificent creatures. Vaavu atoll Alimat House Reef is considered to be the most spectacular site: it is an island on Vaavu Atoll, where nanny sharks have been fed since the 80s. Usually this species does not exceed 3 meters, but not on Alimat, here these sharks from the abundance of food reach 5 meters in length. Also, the regulars of this site are black, silver quilts and stingrays. Skates and sharks are accustomed to having something with bubbles at their dinner, they have long understood that these creatures do not pretend to their food and do not threaten their lives. They just stopped paying attention to us, and this is a great chance to admire predators in their natural habitat. November is the best time to dive in the Maldives! November - the beginning of the season: the winds subside, the heat and humidity subside, the weather becomes as comfortable as possible for rest and diving. In November, the water is much more transparent than in summer, which provides divers with excellent visibility.
